저기가 많은 선물을 샀어요.
비도 왔어요.
근데 괜찮아요.
저는 우산이 있었어요!
And so, Melissa begun our day 2 in 한국.
We initially intend to wake up at 9am for the breakfast provided by the guesthouse.
However, the 2 lazy bums slept in and only woke up at almost 12noon!
Anyway, we still got out of the guesthouse with a little mishap.
I actually left my wallet in my luggage and only realizing it when we were at the subway getting ticket!
So, we walked all the way back to the guesthouse to retrieve my wallet before walking back again to the subway.
Once we reached there, I had difficulty looking for the exit 5 as stated on a website I googled on how to reach the flea market of Hongdae.
Therefore, we embarked on a long, long, long journey in search of the flea market.
Being quite my typically self, I just followed the big bunch of people as I thought they might be going to the same place.
Fortunately, I was right!
We actually did not reached the flea market.
Instead, we were lead to this place there where there is tons of shopping!
We had our lunch at this place in Hongdae which sells 명동(MyeongDong) famous noodles.
Anyway, we did not try their noodles which is supposed to be good.
And the amount of food we ordered is certainly not the amount of food the locals will eat.
But heck!
We will do whatever we like.
A very shagged Melissa that is unhappy with the amount of walking and the scorching hot sun!
Finally a picture of us together!
We are happy to have our food because a hungry man is an angry man.
Our food!
My accidental order of kimchi fried rice.
All I did was randomly ticked an item on the order list as I cannot decide what I want to eat.
Lol.
Melissa's spicy chicken with rice.
It is really 매워요 (spicy)!
Our 떡볶이(rice cake) and 만두 (dumplings) 국수(soup)!
This item is seriously the only item that I can tell Melissa really like.
Because she keep drinking the soup and even commented that it is addictive!
Haha.
After eating, we began our shopping!
We did not buy much as compared to Melissa and my character.
Bought a few accessories for my family from this shop.
Then I saw the signboard outside that stated the above.
Cannot understand why they like to compare themselves with 명동(MyeongDong).
Haha.
After shopping for awhile and still trying to look for the flea market, we started having one very big issue.
We need to find a 화장실(restroom)!
We could not find any in sight and decided to try our luck at this coffee house that we was walking to.
Presenting the Cafe Droptop!
It saved us from the very important and pressing issue!
Really like the design of the door handle.
The "D" is really nice!
The buzzer thing they gave to inform us when our drink is ready.
One major minus point about this cafe is that the staff cannot understand a single english!
I can understand if they cannot speak english but they cannot event recognize the order on THEIR MENU!
This is when my basic Korea came into good use!
Lol.
At least I managed to order something!
My sweet potato latte.
Tastes sweet and yam-my instead to me.
None on the latte part.
The very "shy" Melissa and her apple-citron tea.
Its quite a sight to me that she was struggling to order on her own but the staff could not understand her and I had to come to her rescue.
Haha.
Shall continue with part 2 hopefully tomorrow as I don't feel like backdating so many days.
The aircon had been switched off by the boss of the guesthouse and there's something wrong with my blogspot that cannot upload my pictures.
Part 2 will be interesting.
Stay tuned!
whoo the sweet potato latte looks good! anyway, your korean language proficient liao?

No la. I think my Korea still worst than children.
ReplyDeleteHaha.
