Totally no mood to blog today as it is raining this morning and I was so lazy to even get out of bed.
And there is this girl at the guesthouse who is so annoying.
She might be here for a long time but basic manners of no shouting across the room to her friend who is in-front of her applies across all countries, right?
Anyway, back to the topic.
After much walking at the day before at HongDae, we decided we had enough of the hot sun.
So, we went to lotte mart to do SHOPPING!
Before we actually started our shopping at Lotte mart, we walked past NII as I literally jumped because it is the brand endorsed by my 친구 (friend) Chwee Shan's idol!
I only heard of this brand from here and I like the cartoon designs on the tees.
It is so cute!
Everything in that shop.
All the pictures taken are meant for her.
I also bought a tee from there which is cheap.
It is like 15000won.
WooHoo.
After that, we went to have our lunch at the food court there- Food Capital.
Seriously, the design of the food court is weird and unfriendly to foreigners as you have to order at a front counter first, collect a buzzer and then collect your food again at the respective stores.
My 김치찌개(Kimchi jjigae)
Melissa's 떡만두국수(Rice cake and dumpling soup).
We had a lot of trouble trying to find our food from the stores and the people serving there cannot speak english.
Haiz.
Anyway, we went to lotte mart after that and started our shopping spree for food!
Lol.
On the way there, we saw the following!
My man!
Lol.
Saw his poster but did not go into the star avenue to take a look.
Melissa don't let me go... ㅠ.ㅠ
After passing this pillar with his face on it, we saw the famous ice rink of Lotte!
Lots of children learning ice-skating and saw one old man who is such an expert in ice-skating!
One floor up is the Lotte World amusement park.
Us and the ice-rink.
We did not go there as I already went there on my last trip here and Melissa is afraid of heights.
No point wasting money!
And so, we got to the lotte mart.
The two of us are like grabbing all the food products non-stop.
I should have taken a photo of the trolley full of food.
Lots of people are giving us weird looks.
Oh, and I got approached by a Korean guy.
Hahaha.
저는 한국에 인기 많아요(I am popular in Korea)!
Just joking.
He is just being friendly.
Melissa and I bought like 2 cartons full of food products.
We had to lugged that like up to level 11 for tax refund but to be inform that things bought in lotte mart, had to be tax refund there.
=.=!
I decided I can forgo the tax and contribute to their economy.
The giant clock at the entrance of the Lotte Department store.
Anyway, we took a cab back to the guesthouse as we seriously bought too much stuff.
The cab driver got a bit of problem finding the way back to the guesthouse till I showed him a copy of the address the guesthouse gave me.
The cab ride back was slow as it was the peak hour where everyone is going home from work and the cost of it is around S$20(?).
I would say it is quite cheap comparing it to Singapore pricing.
Haha.
Went back guesthouse and slack for a while before heading over to MyeongDong for more shopping and dinner.
Our awesome teppanyaki dinner which consist of spicy chicken and various seafood.
A very bored Melissa that is waiting for the food to be cooked.
The creepy octopus head that was cut off!
They actually gave us a few whole octopus with the head and all.
The two of us was like O.O!
Anyway, went to do all the very touristy things there.
We just went to walk walk around and buy whatever we see.
One new thing in this trip was, I actually surprised by the amount of discount I got there because I can speak Korean.
The last time I went to MyeongDong, the people there were super relunctant to give any discounts.
But I actually got quite a bit of discount this time round!
My Korean served me good.
Haha.
Captain America and me!
Thor and me!
I told Melissa that he looks like, "Who dares to touch my girl and I will hammer you!".
Hahaha.
Anyway, they were outside this shop in MyeongDong.
I shall now end my post with the following picture!
잘 자요!
Life is full of many challenges. Challenges that will make you or break you depending on how you handle it.
